There's no doubt that makeup is becoming mainstream nowadays. Makeup gives people happiness and contentment and joy. It's definitely a stress reliever for many people, be it girls or boys. From the people who want to look and feel good about themselves to the pros that take makeup to another level, everybody started with one or two makeup products on their bag. And if you're reading this, it's probably because you wanna know how and where to start. And take it from me, because I am a student with a little collection who started with one product, a lipstick. To share a few something if what I've read when I was starting out, here are four products to help you with your basics.
1. CONCEALER
Concealer is used to cover dark circles and other imperfections. Using only this can instantly make you look fresh while enhancing your natural beauty. But if you'd rather have a little coverage plus skincare benefits, I say go with BB cream. There's no one stopping you with foundation either!
Pro tip: Make sure you use a concealer that's not more than two shades lighter than your skin tone. As for BB cream and (especially) foundation, it should match your skin color.
2. LIP AND CHEEK STAIN/LIPSTICK
It's all about multi-tasking! Bring color to your face by putting on tint on your lips and cheeks. What's good about using tints is that people won't notice it's makeup! I, myself can't live without lip and cheek stain, it's my staple. If you're a lipstick kind of girl (or boy) go and glide that red or nude lipstick on!
3. FACE POWDER
The reason why we put makeup on is to feel good and look fresh for ourselves. In order to do that, we gotta make the shine caused by oiliness go away and avoid looking dull. Whether it be a baby powder, a setting powder or a powder foundation, it's what keeps you looking fresh any time of the day.
4. EYEBROW PRODUCT
There's nothing that could make you look more polished other than having your brows done. It may be natural looking or on fleek. Although you may not consider this to be included in your beginner bag as learning how to do your brows may be a little complicated, starting to learn little by little is a great practice.
Building a makeup bag is not hard as you think. It may be a little bit overwhelming at first because there's just too many makeups displayed in the store when you're about to buy and start your own kit. Just think of it this way, anyone who feels the need to build her own kit starts from having one or two, and probably not the best product there is. When it comes to makeup, trials and errors are always present but you gotta enjoy every minute because makeup should not give you stress and hassle, it's there for you to enjoy.
